My name is Dr. Derrick Barnes and I am a board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. I have a strong interest in innovation and technology and am an experienced robotic surgeon. I’m passionate about bringing excellent care to underserved patients near my home in Monterey County, as well as throughout the state of California.
In addition to my local practice, I provide locum tenens services to fill the growing gap of physician shortages in the OB/GYN speciality. My broad experience in private practice, rural settings, and high risk care situations has also led me to the field of medical expert witness service and case review.
My goal is to provide the highest level of care to any patient I encounter, whether that’s face-to-face, through telemedicine, or via reviewing their medical case file. I’m excited by the opportunity to provide these services and help demystify the ever-changing and ever-complex world of medicine.
